The Japanese music collective BMSG POSSE, comprised of artists under BMSG’s labels, released its second collaboration song “Tokyo Night Dreaming” featuring the London-based artist No Rome on November 22, 2024. The music video features entirely 3D CG animation and has racked up over 50k views four days since its release. You can check out the video, with SKY-HI and REIKO representing BMSG POSSE below:
The collaboration comes ahead of BMSG POSSE’s omnibus album “TYOISM Vol. 1” (read as ‘Tokyo-ism’), which embraces Tokyo’s unique cultural identity. It follows the group’s previous cross-border collaboration with Korean rapper CHANGMO on “Zoom,” seen below.
BMSG POSSE is a collective under SKY-HI’s BMSG (Be My Self Group) management company, incorporating the acts from the company’s labels and t ventures. With links to their social media, BE:FIRST performed the newest One Piece ending song “Sailing” for One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga. BMSG POSSE’s musical influences include hip-hop, R&B, and rock.
No Rome was born in Manila, Philippines, and signed with the UK label Dirty Hit after impressing Matty Healy from The 1975’s, which is also signed to Dirty Hit alongside other notable acts like beabadoobee, Rina Sawayama, and Jack Antonoff, credited for work on Kendrick Lamar’s latest GNX album. “Tokyo Night Dreaming” marks No Rome’s first collaboration with Japanese artists.
