The unexpected collaboration between Japanese singer Ado and K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM might just be one of the best crossovers yet! Recently, the two promising acts ed forces in the Japanese version of “Unforgiven.” Record producer Nile Rodgers keeps his credit in the Japanese version of the song, as it retains its original structure, adding Ado’s versatile vocals that blend perfectly with LE SSERAFIM’s. 94j59
The young Japanese rising star also revealed that she is a big fan of the girl group, that their collaboration “is a luxury,” and that it made her exceptionally happy. The of LE SSERAFIM also added that Ado’s powerful singing voice goes well with the empowering “Unforgiven” track. Ado’s personal illustrator, ORIHARA, also provided an illustration for the collaboration, which features the 5-member girl group in anime style and Ado’s iconic avatar that is widely used to represent her.
The Japanese version of “Unforgiven” was released on August 8 at 6PM JST and is one of the tracks for LE SSERAFIM’s second Japanese single. Japanese singer-songwriter imase is also featured in the original Japanese track “Jewelry”, which he also produced for the girl group’s Japanese release. Being pre-released ahead of the single’s official release on August 23, the two songs are available on music streaming platforms.
