BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) TV anime has revealed a new visual for its 2nd cour titled Part 2: The Separation, along with the news that it’s getting an early screening in Japan for its first two episodes on June 25. Masakazu Morita and Yuki Matsuoka are reprising their roles as Ichigo and Orihime,w hile Takayuki Sugo ed as Yhwach. Tite Kubo also said in an interview that the 2nd part will animate a new fight that wasn’t drawn in the manga. It will feature a battle between two ‘certain characters’ and the anime production team asked to have the character fight around this time. That’s why he revisited the idea, and he also provided five or six pages of illustrations to show how they would move, transition and fight.
Studio Pierrot previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the BLEACH 2022 (TYBWA) story:
