BUCCHIGIRI, an original anime announced during MAPPA stage 2023, is coming to our screens on January 13. It will be directed by Hiroko Utsumi, who is most known for directing the action-drama anime Banana Fish and other titles such as Free! Eternal Summer and Sk8 the Infinity, and animated by MAPPA. Bucchigiri – Visual
The plot of Bucchigiri follows Arajin Tomoshibi, who reunites with his former best friend Matakara Asamine. However, their reunion is cut short after a battle with the strongest guys in town ensues. But then, a giant genie appears, throwing everything into even more chaos. The title is stylized as BUCCHIGIRI?! in the official Japanese title.
