Castlevania: Nocturne – Main Trailer

Castlevania: Nocturne was first revealed back in April 2021 when Netflix announced that it was planning a spin-off series set in the Castlevania universe. It should be recalled that the new title is a continuation of the original Netflix Castlevania series which ended in 2021 after was released in 2022 during the Geeked Week 2022 event.

The showrunner is Kevin Kolder, while Clive Bradley is listed as a creator and writer. Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation will be producing the series, which Netflix refers to as anime, although the staff or studios involved are not from Japan. The work is based on Konami’s Castlevania games, the first of which was published in 1986. Castlevania: Nocturne follows Richter, a descendant of the Belmont family. As a game character, Richter appeared in Symphony of Night and Blood of Rondo games from the Castlevania series. The cast for Castlevania: Nocturne includes:

The official Netflix press release describes the Castlevania: Nocturne plot as:
In the thick of the French Revolution, of the so-called lower classes are ri to fight inequality: “It’s the natural order for them to milk us dry with impossible rents and unpayable taxes,” Maria (Davies), a young leader, laments. Meanwhile, Richter Belmont (Bluemel) senses a far grimmer and greater danger. He’s picked up his family’s long-held tradition of vampire hunting, a vocation that goes back almost as long as a vampiric life span (in other words, forever). But he’s never seen anything quite like what he’s witnessing now — could the drastic uptick in vampire activity have something to do with the death of his mother? And what’s up with this rumored news of a supposed vampire messiah?
