The Chained Soldier anime revealed a new key visual and January 2024 premiere date earlier today. Studio Seven Arcs is animating the series. The anime was initially scheduled to premiere in 2023. 3x533t
Junji Nishimura is credited as the chief director of Chained Soldier anime, with Goro Kuji as the director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is in charge of the series composition, while Hiroyuki Yoshi is doing the character designs. Ryota Kano and Akira Kindaichi are writing the scripts. Kohta Yamamoto is composing the music. Akari Kito will be singing the opening theme song and Maaya Uchida is in charge of the ending. The anime was announced in November 2021 and it revealed the first trailer in December of last year:
Chained Soldier is based on a manga series written by Takahiro (Akame Ga Kill author) and illustrated by Yohei Takemura. The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online platform since January 2019. Yen Press is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Decades ago, gates to an otherworldly and dangerous dimension known as Mato—the “Demon City”—appeared across Japan. Those who partook in the “peaches” growing there gained unique abilities—but only if they’re girls.
