Classroom of the Elite Season 2 released a preview trailer and images for episode 12 along with the title and synopsis. The twelfth episode is scheduled to air on September 19. The episode’s title is a Latin quote from Roman poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus: “Vis consilii expers mole ruit sua,” which translates into “Thoughtless power crumbles by its own mass“. 33306a
The newly released preview images for episode 12 show the protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, Class-C students Kakeru Ryuen, Mio Ibuki, Albert Yamada, and Class-D’s Kei Karuizawa and teacher Sae Chabashira.
The anime depicted in the previous episode that a few students of Class-C led by Ryuen began torturing Kei Karuizawa of Class-D to obtain information about Class-D’s mastermind. The synopsis describes the next episode as follows:
Being detained by Ryuen to expose the identity of the mastermind puts Karuizawa into a corner. A flashback of her memories of being bullied. And to worsen her condition, she has to face the fact that she has been used by the one, but Karuizawa continues to keep the fact secret that Ayanokoji is the man.
The light novel’s author Shogo Kinugasa is writing the scripts for the anime’s weekly preview trailers, and this week’s video narrates Class-C’s Albert Yamada in English: “Kei Karuizawa is getting concerned both physically and mentally,” he begins and continues to detail Kei Karuizawa’s condition under Ryuen’s torture: “As her mind is being consumed, she re her past: Loneliness, cruel treatment by classmates, bitter memories she would like to forget.” The muscular student also talks about his leader’s state of mind and principle of battles. “When Karuizawa was reaching her limits, a student comes to her. Is this student really the one that Ryuen has been looking for?” And the trailer shows the protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. After Albert Yamada says the episode’s title, he concludes the video by introducing himself as the narrator of this preview.
