Date a Live V (Season 5) was announced after the ending of the 12th episode of Date a Live on June 24, 2022, in Japan. Although the ending screen showed the title of the fifth season, the official Twitter stayed quiet and only teased an announcement at 25:30 (1:30 am JST). Turns out that the official announcement also features a special illustration by Tsunako, who is known for illustrating the light novels: 301y4w
GEEKTOYS animated the latest season of the popular anime series, which is based on Koshi Tachibana’s Date a Live light novel series. Fujimi Shobo serialized it with Tsunako’s illustrations from 2012 to 2020, and it has a total of 22 volumes in circulation. Yen Press is publishing the Date a Live light novel series in English:
