Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series serialized by Koyoharu Gotoge in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. It ended with a total of 23 volumes, which sured 150 million circulating copies. The manga inspired anime adaptation by ufotable; the first season (Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc) aired from April to September 2019 with a total of 26 episodes. Mugen Train arc was first published as a movie and then later adapted into TV anime which aired from October to November 2021 with 7 episodes. This was directly followed by the Entertainment District arc, which aired from December 21 to February 2022 with 11 episodes. The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie premiered in 2020 and broke the record of Japan’s highest-grossingApril 2023. Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, received a birthday visual from the studio on November 29.
Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and published all 23 volumes. The official website describes the plot of the debut volume as:
