Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Film Revenue Exceeds 800 Million Yen on its First Day 611c3a

The official Khara Twitter reported that the Evangelion 3.0+1.0 film revenue exceeded over 800 million yen on its opening day. The movie premiered in Japanese cinemas on March 8, 2021, and made a total of 827,742,000 yen (~US$7,600,000), selling 539,623 tickets. It means that it’s also the biggest opening in the franchise’s history! It made over 20% more than Evangelion 3.0 that aired in Japanese cinemas back in 2012. Evangelion 3.0+1.0 opened in 466 theaters, with IMAX, 4DX, MX4D, all available on opening day! 6k545
