Fate/stay night Creator on Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact: "They Accomplished Things We Couldn't Do" 50712

Kinoko Nasu, creator of TYPE-MOON games such as the Fate/stay night and Tsukihime series revealed his deep iration for HoYoverse titles Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact in a recent interview. Alongside miHoYo developer David Jiang, Nasu said to DenfaminicoGamer, “To some extent, I had expected that HoYoverse would be a company of people who love games and are driven by that ion, but compared to what I heard at that time …… really exceeded my expectations. The ion of the creators plus a rational corporate philosophy. I thought, ‘Yes, it is natural for this company to become a big company.’ I felt a sense of familiarity with the origins of such a company, but at the same time, I also felt a sense of iration and respect, thinking, ‘There are people who accomplished things that we couldn’t do ourselves, using their love of something as fuel.’“ 49j4x

Nasu and Jiang exchanged stories of how they mutually inspired each other. Jiang revealed that he was exposed to many of Nasu’s works since he was very young – first starting as a Saber fan before finding himself ‘shocked by the characters and worldbuilding depicted in Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works].‘ The themes of love and justice present in Honkai: Star Rail were things he learned directly from Fate. He added that they share the same birthday.

Nasu says that he was waiting a long time for the PS5 version of Honkai: Star Rail, and said regarding Genshin Impact, “Little by little, day by day, the ion and technology that was put into the game, and above all, the dream of ‘I wanted to play in this kind of world,’ was packed into the game. What has long been a pipe dream in otaku culture is being made into reality. I looked up to the heavens at his strength of action and high level of perfection.‘”

It’s a bright future for both fans of HoYoverse and TYPE-MOON works. The former announced All the Fate Franchise Media Releasing in 2024 and Beyond ensures that fans are up to date on all the latest games and anime, with Fate/stay Night Remastered (English Release) coming in 2024.
