The Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange anime (Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M: Kyukoku no Orange) is based on the Megumi no Daigo: Kyukoku no Orange manga by Masahito Soda, with assistance from Kuro Tomiyama. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine since October 2020. The manga is preceded by the 1995 manga Megumi no Daigo by the same author. It was published under Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday.
In 1999, the franchise got an anime film directed by Susumu Nishizawa and animated by Sunrise. In 2004, a television drama series aired on Fuji TV with 11 episodes.
