Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 6 - Mirika's Determination 83i5r

Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 has reached its midpoint with episode 6. The episode centers around Mirika’s scheme to make Naoya truly fall in love with her, and she cunningly executes this plan using what she deems a “barely legal” approach. It’s always a wild ride when Mirika is involved, so here are the highlights from episode 6 of the fall season’s strangest anime. z1f4d

I always find it difficult to comprehend the extreme lengths Mirika is willing to go for love. The last episode left all of us astounded as she resorted to drugging the entire cast just to have a private moment with Naoya. From there, Mirika only gets more insane as the episode opens up with Naoya handcuffed to a tree to surely prevent his escape. Although I once believed that Naoya’s act of giving Mirika a glimmer of hope was a significant mistake, I now realize that even without it, Mirika’s determination would have triumphed over any rejection he could have come up with.

After the usual Girlfriend, Girlfriend shenanigans, such as Mirika handcuffing Naoya to herself and the two falling on top of one another, they eventually get to have a sincere conversation about their relationship. It is clear that Mirika will not give up on Naoya, so he offers her to come live together at the house along with Saki, Shino, and Nagisa. Naoya explains that his intention to give Mirika many chances to prove herself over several months could lead to him being able to properly reject her. I think many of us may have wondered about the inevitability of Mirika moving into Naoya’s household along with the other girls. I can’t say Naoya’s offer caught me off guard.

Mirika accepts this proposal, still confident in her ability to make Naoya fall in love. Shino, Saki, and Nagisa, upon recovering from the effects of the drugging, find Naoya and Mirika. As expected, they are far from pleased about Mirika moving into the house. As if the house wasn’t already chaotic enough with three girls and Naoya, Mirika is sure to make it more hectic. Although the series might lack in the animation department, at least I’m staying engaged through the crazy scenarios that keep springing up throughout the series.

The second half of Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 will include Mirika in the household, and from the looks of the episode 7 preview, we will see how everyone gets along with each other – not that I expect much getting along. Until then, check out my review of the latest episode of The Apothecary Diaries, another series also airing this season.
