The previously announced Honey Lemon Soda anime is set to broadcast in January of 2025, as announced earlier. Studio J.C. Staff is animating the series under Hiroshi Nishikiori’s direction. 3lg23
Akiko Waba is in charge of the series composition. Aimi Tanaka is deg the characters and Akira Kosemura is composing the music. The anime will premiere on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block.
The Honey Lemon Soda anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Mayu Murata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shojo manga magazine Ribon since December 2015 and it currently has 24 volumes in circulation. The series also inspired a live-action film adaptation in July 2021.
Yen Press licenses the manga in English and they describe the plot as:
Middle school left Uka Ishimori with nothing but scars—to the point where she’s forgotten how to laugh or cry or even say “hello.” But a chance reencounter with a boy with lemon-colored hair invigorates her, giving her hope that maybe, just maybe, life can be that much sweeter if she finally reaches out for help.
