As episode 4 ended with cloudy weather and a misunderstanding with faculty member Hakui, Ganta Nakami feels gloomy. He is now being watched by his teacher and is also unable to practice his astrophotography. However, Isaki Magari promises Ganta that once the skies clear up, they will meet up on the beach.
As the day of the seaside camping trip arrived, Ganta finds himself unable to sleep inside the tent due to his rowdy groupmates. As the day es he gets more impatient, so he decides to open up the tent on the second night, and he is surprised to see a clear, starry night sky…
