Jujutsu Kaisen just finished broadcast in Japan, and we already have a movie coming to adapt volume 0! It focuses on the badass Yuta Okkotsu, who didn’t get much screen time so far but is very important to the story. The movie will be adapted by MAPPA and premiere Winter 2022. The manga recently sured 30 million circulating copies (also including digital release)! Though that was a few weeks ago, so it’s probably a few millions above that now. It has been serialized since March 2018, which is a pretty short amount of time for such a big number! It has been growing tremendously following the anime adaptation, and people have been comparing it with Demon Slayer a lot. The anime ended today after 24 episodes, and we can watch it with English subs in a few hours.
Akutami Gege has a hugely popular manga, and volume 0 will be a great movie for Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s a prequel to the first season of the anime, and fans will be excited to learn more about another student Gojou expects to get as strong as him.
