JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 TV anime has revealed a new trailer featuring the opening song by Tatsuya Kitani titled “Ao no Sumika” (Where Our Blue Is) at this year’s MAPPA STAGE event. This is the 2nd trailer for the show’s new season, which will be seeing the director change: Shota Goshozono will be taking over from Sunghoo Park. The anime, which will premiere on July 6 (as part of a stacked Summer 2023 anime season), will run for 2 consecutive cours. It will cover the “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” arc first, before moving on to the “Shibuya Incident” arc in the second part. The main staff for JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 includes:

Studio MAPPA animated both the 24-episode first season and movie for the franchise. Akutami Gege writes and draws the original manga, which is licensed by VIZ Media in English. Crunchyroll streams both the anime and movie, and they describe the story:
Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is itted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.
