Spring 2024 Anime Awards | Kurumi Tokisaki Voted Best Girl of the Season
Kurumi’s popularity has been unrivaled for years. She also won the title for that entire year, with Marin Kitagawa placing second.
Date a Live V also took the awards for both the seiyuu awards.
GEEKTOYS returned to animate the 5th season, after previously working on season 4 of the popular anime series, which is based on Koshi Tachibana’s Date a Live light novel series. Fujimi Shobo serialized it with Tsunako’s illustrations from 2012 to 2020, and it has a total of 22 volumes in circulation.
Yen Press is publishing the Date a Live light novel series in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime. They describe the story:
Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.
