Made in Abyss Anime Sequel Announced o635i

Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun has a sequel anime project in the works, as announced earlier today. The second season of the TV anime finished airing in September of last year. We don’t know if the new sequel project is a third season of Made in Abyss TV anime or perhaps another movie, at this time. The announcement asks fans to “please wait for a while.” The finale of Made in Abyss Season 2 wrapped up the story of the sixth layer of the Abyss. The manga is currently only three chapters ahead of the anime, so it’s not clear when the sequel would come. The watch order for Made in Abyss, animated by Kinema Citrus, is currently:
