Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun (aka Season 2) revealed preview images and a synopsis for the episode 7. The new episode is titled “Cradle of Desire” and it will air on Wednesday, August 17. In last week’s episode, Maijkaja managed to stop Riko from making a reckless choice and Riko got to impress everyone with her analytical skills. The plot of the episode is described as:
Vueko, who reveals herself as the survivor of the Ganja Suicide Squad, begins to tell Riko and the others about the abominable original of the village they are in. The Ganja team, led by Wazukyan, had once arrived in the city of no return. Their joy was short-lived, once they realized that they really could not return because of the curse. They decide to live as the first people in the golden land but soon face difficulties when it comes to securing food and water.

Kinema Citrus is animating the sequel to the anime adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi’s manga. Theme songs for the season include “Katachi” by Azuna Ruko (opening) and “Endless Embrace” by Myth & Roid (ending).
