My Hero Academia: You’re Next original movie has revealed the full opening video, featuring the theme song “Homunculus” by Vaundy. The movie premiered in Japan on August, grossing over $6.2 million (895 million yen) during its opening weekend. This marked the biggest opening for the franchise. My Hero Academia: You’re Next is also premiere in North America on October 11 with both Japanese subbed and English dubbed screenings.
My Hero Academia anime is based on the manga series by Kohei Horikoshi, which was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024. It global character popularity poll.
The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with the 7th season currently ongoing. Episode 13 was delayed to August 17 due to the Olympics.
