Netflix revealed that the popular Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime is coming to the platform in the US on March 1. Directed by Keiichiro Saito at studio Madhouse, Frieren began streaming in the US on Crunchyroll in September 2023 across 28 episodes.

Also ing Netflix this month are Pokemon Horizons Season 2: The Search for Laqua (February 7), P.A. Works’ Charlotte (February 15), Puniru is a Kawaii Slime (February 27) – among Anime Corner’s top picks of the Fall 2024 season – and Cells at Work! Code Black (March 1).
Frieren entranced fans with its stunning visuals, thoughtful expression, and consistent production quality across its two cours. The series was also among a second season was confirmed last December with Madhouse set to return.

Netflix will stream Frieren from March 1. Crunchyroll streamed it first in September 2023 in English subbed and dubbed. It was described: “After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations , and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.”
