The Gear 5. The announcement comes on the 2nd day of celebrating the 26th anniversary for the anime, which is celebrated on July 21-22 as the ONE PIECE DAY.
The last episode that had an ending theme song was the iconic episode 278, which is titled “Say You Want to Live! We Are Your Friends!” and features Usopp shooting down the World Government flag. The theme song used in the episode is “Adventure World” by Delicatessen.
Prior to the announcement, a Gear 5 was shown afterwards, and it was revealed that OWARI NO SEKAI will perform the new opening theme song, which will also debut in the near future.
The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the legendary series exceeded 4-5 years back in 2020. The manga currently has 1087 chapters, while the anime is at 1069 episodes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, and Crunchyroll streams the anime. They describe the story:

The latest ONE PIECE movie, ONE PIECE FILM RED, grossed over ¥2.25 billion (~$15 million) with 1.57 million attendees in the opening weekend in Japan, which made the biggest opening-weekend numbers when it comes to both the audience and earnings among films of 2022. It also quickly became the best-performing film in ONE PIECE‘s history.
