The official manga franchise of ONE PIECE has recently received a Guinness World Record for the category “most-published comic series by a single author”. The record was made after ONE PIECE recently released its 103rd volume.

As of this writing, there are 416,566,000 copies of the manga in circulation in Japan, and over 100,000,000 copies are being circulated overseas. This was not the first time Oda had received a Guinness World Record for his works, as he was previously recognized by the award organization in 2015 for having the most printed comic series by one author. At that time, he already held the record for most copies published for the same manga series.

The official Twitter of ONE PIECE also posted a picture of Hiroyuki Nakano, current editor-in-chief of Shonen Jump, holding the Guinness World Record certificate for said accomplishment.

Eiichiro Oda, the creator of ONE PIECE, had already hyped up the 25th anniversary through a commemorative video.
