Studio Doga Kobo is animating the series with Sumie Noro’s (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle) direction. The anime is based on the manga series by Kazutake Hazano, which has been serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine R online magazine since 2017. Kodansha is licensing the series in English and describes the first volume as:
