The Sasaki and Peeps anime adaptation has revealed a new trailer and additional cast ahead of its January 5 premiere date. The anime will premiere with a 1-hour special episode, and it’s set to run for a total of 12 episodes. The new cast include Hikaru Midorikawa as Joseph, Gakuto Kajiwara as Kai, and Daisuke Kishio as Maximilian. You can see the previously released key visual for the anime below.
The Sasaki and Peeps anime is based on a light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. It was first published as a web novel on Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro websites in December 2018, after which it was serialized under Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint in January 2021. There is also manga adaptation by Pureji Osho in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace Plus, which also began in January 2021.
Yen Press has licensed both the Sasaki and Peeps light novel and manga in English, and they describe the story for the light novel:
