Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku? Reveals Opening Song in New Trailer 5s3e1t

The previously announced Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku? original anime revealed a new trailer featuring the opening theme song “GA-TAN GO-TON” by Rei Nakashima. The anime is slated to premiere as part of the Spring 2024 lineup in April. StudioEMT Squared is in charge of the animation. v5ev

Tsutomu Mizushima (Shirobako, Another) is directing the Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku? anime, with Asako Nishida as the character designer and chief animation director. Michiko Yokote is in charge of the series composition. Namo is credited with original character designs. Miho Tsujibayashi is composing the music. The cast includes:

• Chika Anzai as Shizuru Chikura
• Azumi Waki as Nadeshiko Hoshi
• Erisa Kuon as Reimi Kuga
• Hina Kino as Akira Shinonome

The anime will follow Shizuru and her friends as they find themselves on an abandoned train, which suddenly starts and takes them to a new town. Together they embark on a journey to discover what lies beyond the train tracks. The title can be translated as Where Does This Train Stop?. The anime was first trailer in July of last year. Kadokawa is producing the original series.
