The previously announced Skip and Loafer anime adaptation revealed a first teaser trailer, along with cast and staff information. P.A. Works will be animating the series, which is based on a manga by Misaki Takamatsu. The main cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa as Mitsumi Iwakura and Akinori Egoshi as Sosuke Shima. Deai directed the second season of the Silver Spoon (Gin no Saji) anime, while Umeshita previously worked on March Comes in Like a Lion 2, as a chief animation director.
Skip and Loafer follows Iwakura Mitsumi, whose dream is to enter a prestigious university and change the world. To do this, she moved to Tokyo and begins attending high school there. But, constantly preparing for everything that might go wrong also makes you very tense. Soon she meets Shima Sousuke, a (handsome) classmate who is very chill and manages to balance her out.
The manga started serialization in 2018 in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine. announced in November of last year.
