The Spring 2022 anime season has come to a satisfying close, and fans are still jamming to the many catchy opening and ending songs brought to us in the past few months. Most of the tracks have already been released on official music streaming platforms, and we collected data to see which were most popular on Spotify. Note that not all Spring 2022 anime openings and endings have been officially released on Spotify, and all song streams are counted as of July 4, 2022, and rounded to the nearest thousand. Tracks from shorts anime, kids anime, and films are excluded, and we began including songs from long-running shows in the rankings this year.
As you can see from this chart, the Spy x Family ending “Comedy” by Gen Hoshino took the top at a high-leading 34,966,000 streams! The same show also holds the most-streamed opening song, “Mixed Nuts”, by the famous Official HIGE DANDism. The band similarly ranked first with its song “Cry Baby” in Spring 2021.
