The Sword Art Online: Progressive -Scherzo of Deep Night- anime film has received a trailer that features the murderer guild, “Laughing Coffin”, during a special program that was held in Japan. The movie will premiere on September 10, 2022, in Japan. You can watch the video below: 2q6o4h
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Haruka Tomatsu are reprising their roles as Kirito and Asuna. Shiori Izawa will also return to the franchise to voice Argo, who first appeared in episode 3 of the original Sword Art Online anime series.
Sword Art Online: Progressive -Scherzo of Deep Night- is the second film installment of the SAO Progressive light novel series. Ayako Kono is directing the movie at A-1 Pictures. The same director and studio also worked on the first movie, titled 40 countries around the world.
The movie is based on Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online: Progressive light novel series. ASCII Media Works has been serializing it since 2012. and it currently has 8 volumes in circulation. The movie will adapt the fourth volume of the light novel series. Yen Press is publishing the Sword Art Online: progressive light novel series in English. The movie will cover the events from the 4th volume and onwards:
