The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) light novel series began its serialization in November 2018, by Enterbrain. The light novel is written by Daisuke Aizawa. Tōzai is working on the illustrations and it currently has 4 volumes in circulation. Kadokawa Shoten is publishing a manga adaptation by Anri Sanko which currently has 7 volumes available.
