Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack are animating the movie, which is CGI and features a spin-off story focusing on Tristan. Noriyuki Abe is listed as the chief director, while Bob Shirahata is the director. Rintaro Ikeda is writing the script. The movie is 52 minutes long. Seven Deadly Sins was originally a manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The manga inspired anime adaptations with 4 seasons and 3 movies; A-1 Pictures animated the first two seasons and Prisoners of the Sky movie, and Studio DEEN took care of season 3 and season 4, and  receiving an anime adaptation.
