Tokyo Revengers Christmas Conflict TV Anime Announced 3j3p4b

The Tokyo Revengers anime finished broadcast in Japan back on September 19, and a TV adaptation for ‘Christmas Conflict’ (Christmas Showdown) has now been announced! Although there aren’t many details, they did reveal a PV which sums up the events so far. The arc after Bloody Halloween in the manga is the Christmas Conflict arc, so the anime will likely cover that. Watch the announcement PV: 4u1g6o

The anime began on April 1st this year, and it ran for 2 consecutive cours. The final episode was titled “A Cry Baby”, and it concluded the Valhalla Arc to the story.

Taking a time-travel twist, the story follows Takemichi as he tries to save his girlfriend. Along the way, he meets Toman and makes more friends whose lives need his help. The author has said that he took inspiration from other time-travel stories, such as Erased and Re:Zero, and decided to mix the elements with gangs/delinquents.

The Anime Boost for Tokyo Revengers c731p

Getting an anime adaptation was great for the franchise, as it made the manga sales soar. It had about 10 million copies at the end of March before the anime. However, now it has over 35 million! It is frequently the best-selling manga on Oricon’s charts, and its popularity has grown immensely. Kodansha publishes the manga digitally.

Meanwhile, Crunchyroll streams the anime and describes the story as:

Takemichi Hanagaki is a freelancer that’s reached the absolute pits of despair in his life. He finds out that the only girlfriend he ever had in his life that he dated in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, had been killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after hearing about her death, he’s standing on the station platform and ends up being pushed over onto the tracks by a herd of people. He closes his eyes thinking he’s about to die, but when he opens his eyes back up, he somehow had gone back in time 12 years. Now that he’s back living the best days of his life, Takemichi decides to get revenge on his life by saving his girlfriend and changing himself that he’d been running away from.

Despite some noticeable setbacks, Tokyo Revengers was still exciting, and the Christmas Conflict (Christmas Showdown) TV anime is a nice announcement to hear. Let’s look forward to any future updates!
