TV TOKYO has announced the world premiere of its GINTAMA spin-off anime, GINTAMA – Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class, set to take place during Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles. This premiere will offer attendees the first opportunity to watch an episode of the new series, along with exclusive content.
The Anime Expo 2025 premiere , titled [WORLD PREMIERE] GINTAMA – Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class, is set for Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:20 PM PDT in Room 408AB at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Planned highlights of the include:
- World Premiere Episode Screening: Attendees will be the first to watch a complete episode of the new spin-off series.
- Special Messages from the Odd Jobs: Video messages from the original voice cast, including Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi Shimura), and Rie Kugimiya (Kagura), will be presented.
- Behind-the-Scenes Insights: The will include information on the production process and creative direction behind the new anime.
- Merchandise Reveal: New merchandise inspired by the GINTAMA franchise will be introduced.
- Giveaways and Audience Participation: Attendees will have the chance to win exclusive GINTAMA prizes through games and a quiz.

GINTAMA – Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class is based on the spin-off novel Gintama: 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei, which follows protagonist Gintoki Sakata as a homeroom teacher navigating the chaotic dynamics of his students through comedic and absurd scenarios. Studio Bandai Namco Pictures is animating, with Makoto Moriwaki as chief director and Natsumi Higashida as director.
Anime Expo 2025 takes place July 3–6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with numerous other franchises confirming attendance. Some of the include The Summer Hikaru Died.
