Uncle from Another World anime released a preview trailer and images for episode 12. The new episode is scheduled to air on December 22. Atelier Pontdarc is animating the adaptation. 1s2u3b
The anime describes the plot of the episode in English as:
Ojisan receives a request to defeat a “singing monster” and heads for the forest. He discovers a huge monster and attacks to defeat it, but it turns out to be Mabel, who lives a self-sufficient life in the forest. The giant ice sculpture she had erected to keep people away and Mabel’s singing voice had somehow become feared as a “singing monster. Mabel was so pleased by the praise of her singing voice that she proposed to sing a song from Ojisan’s home. The delighted Ojisan teaches Mabel his favorite song.
In the preview trailer, Uncle (Takehito Koyasu) and Alicia (Aki Toyosaki) are chatting about their names with Mabel (Aoi Yuki) and Elf (Haruka Tomatsu). In the course of the conversation, he says the names he used in the world come from SEGA in broad senses, but the Elf asks if it’s all right by him to be called “weird” names because names should be important. Uncle understands it and tries to reveal his true name, but she interrupts it by saying she is not ready to hear it. Uncle from Another World anime is based on Hotondoshinderu’s manga of the same name that is currently being serialized on WebComic A’PANTA. The manga released the latest, 8th volume in August 2022 and sured 3 million circulating copies. Yen Press has licensed the manga for English releases and released the 5th volume in August 2022.
