Prior to her inclusion, Asano is cast as vampire princess Ecute of Dropkick on my Devil!! X after winning the final audition round, besting a thousand applicants. Her agency colleague Hasegawa s the cast as Ecute’s instructor Atre.
Ruri Asano is the most active member of the Asano Sisters Project based in Japan’s Hokuriku region. Together with her younger sister Akane Asano, they have 169,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel.
Previously, she played the role of Rumi Amaya in “Watanuki-san Chi to” which aired on TV Tokyo last year. The said TV series also starred fellow VTubers Tokino Sora (hololive production), Ao Hibiki, and Futaba Sarugakuchou.
Her other appearances include CyberStep’s Dawn of the Breakers role-playing game and the limited-time Virtual Snack bar in Tokyo. She also played a role in the visual novel Utsuro Nikki and the Thousand Memories mobile game. As part of Nippon TV’s V-Clan network, the Asano Sisters Project also takes part in concerts as well as TV shows.
