Preview images for episode 9 of the rom-com When Will Ayumu Make His Move anime are now available. The shogi club goes to an arcade to spend time together. The club try out different games which lead to fun and hilarious moments. Sakurako and Maki will also make an appearance in the episode. Episode 9 of the series is scheduled to air on September 2 in Japan and will be available on HiDive and Bilibili overseas. 4r3m5
The anime is adapted from the manga by the author of Teasing Master Takagi-san and In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Soichiro Yamamoto. Studio Silver Link is producing the series, with Mirai Minato as the director. Other staff includes Hitomi Mieno as a scriptwriter, Kazuya Hirata as the character designer, and Shun Narita as the music composer.

Ayumu just fell in love at first sight with Urushi and ed the illegitimate Shogi Club! But Ayumu has vowed not to confess his feelings until he can best Urushi, and he has a long wAyumu Tanaka, a first-year high school student, and Urushi Yaotome, a second-year student, are of the shogi club. Ayumu vows to confess his feelings to Urushi, his senpai after he manages to defeat her in a game of shogi, but he is a beginner at the game and Urushi always beats him. Meanwhile, Urushi keeps trying to get Ayumu to it that he likes her, but Ayumu never allows his poker face to slip.
