Studio Sunrise is producing Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury which premiered in October 2022 and ended its first cour with the 12th episode on January 8. Hiroshi Kobayashi directed the first part of the anime while Ichiro Okuchi wrote the series composition. Marie Tagashira, Hirotoshi Takaya, and Juri Toida designed the characters while Takasi Omama composed the music. The anime previously revealed a teaser visual for the sequel.
